Italy 2013: Venice

We didn’t spend much time in Venice, even though it was the airport we flew out of. In fact, we were only there about 5 hours. I’m not sure why we didn’t make it a priority, but I kind of wish we had. We didn’t make any plans for our short time there, and I don’t think we really saw anything you’re “supposed to” see in Venice. We seemed to be in a part of town that was all souvenir shops and restaurants. We were so exhausted at that point in our journey that we quickly gave up our search for the famous cathedral and square. We still had fun, though, exploring what we could and eating one last gelato before leaving Italy.
