On Thanksgiving day we lounged around the house and made a ThanksVegan fest. We had sweet potato red lentil curry soup to start, stuffed acorn squash as the main course, and sweet apple pie for dessert. The next morning we woke up and drove to San Antonio to complete our annual tradition- riding on the train at Breckenridge Park. Both my father and I spent our childhood Thanksgiving weekends riding the train, so it’s cool to see my kids enjoying the tradition. We also watched the lighting of the Christmas Tree in downtown San Antonio, as well as the Riverwalk parade. The grommies had a blast and it was nice to spend some time with my dad.
