Autumn has been full of changes. For the first time I was able to watch the trees change from green, giant beasts to frail, fragile beings with specks of yellow and orange and red. I feel so lucky to have experienced this season for the first time. It was one of the things I looked forward to most when I moved to Virginia. And after eight months here, I’m about to experience change in my own life as well. Yes, it is time to move again. For reasons I can’t really explain, the kids and I will be moving back to Texas. I’m optimistic about these changes, though. I look forward to being near my family and friends again. I look forward to being by the sea.
