Letters to Eva

Evita Pilar,

Today you’re 2 years and 5 months old. Every month you seem less and less like a toddler and more and more like a kid. Talking to you is basically like talking to a real human being now, haha. You have SO much to say about everything. I don’t even know where you come up with half of the stuff you do and say. I think you learn a lot from the Kid’s Club, though. They’ve taught you how to run mini-laps, skip, and swing between two chairs with your arms. I’m very grateful for this, because after we leave the Kid’s Club you take a good, long nap. You’ve been fighting naps, though. You go so far as to hide my kangas so that I won’t wear you, because you know it always puts you down. This month you’ve really gotten back into letters. You love tracing them in your workbook and I’m starting to teach you the sounds they make. You love the outdoors, but you’re still more girly than ever. You won’t wear your hair in a simple pony tail. There has to be a bow in it. For soooo long you would fight wearing bows and now you demand them. You still won’t wear anything but dresses unless we tell you your Auntie Ashley bought it for you. Silly girl. Other things you’re into is “cooking” me food with playdough. You serve it to me on a little plate and everything. I’ve had so much fun with you this month. Looking forward to the rest of summer.

Love,
Mama
