Dear Damian,
You are ten months old today!!! I feel like this last month was a big one in terms of growth and development. You took your first steps a couple of weeks ago, and since then you’ve been getting better and better at balancing and walking between objects. It won’t be long before you’re running all over the place with your big sister. And then your sweet little rolls will slowly disappear. I will be a mess when I don’t have them to squeeze and kiss anymore. But the stage you’re at right now is just SO. MUCH FUN. Another thing you started doing this month is pointing. Just now I showed you a picture of yourself on my computer screen and you pointed to it with a big goofy smile on your face. My favorite thing you do is dance. You get so excited when you hear music. Last month you would bob your little bum up and down, but now you wave your arms as well and you really feel it. It’s the most adorable thing. Something that’s not so adorable? When you try to feed me the food you’ve mashed up in your chubby little hands. Okay, maybe it’s a little adorable. But it’s mostly gross. You still prefer feeding yourself so I have a giant mess to clean every few hours. I haven’t quite figured out a good way to minimize it. I didn’t have to deal with that as much with your sister, but that’s okay. You’re such a little boy. If given a basket of toys, you will always pick the one with wheels. You also enjoy playing with anything and everything that is NOT a toy. You always try to get your hands on my purse so that you can pull everything out of it. You have two teeth that have completely cut through the gums, and one more that looks like it’s almost there. I can start to see your two top teeth under the gums too so I don’t think it will be too long before you get those.
